I was referred back to the neurologists department, I had a telephone appointment with Dr Amanda Cox. Dr Amanda Cox was kind and caring, Everything that was discussed I felt that I had been listened to. Everything was explained to me, and following my call a letter plus a phone call was put in place concerning my mental health to my GP. Many thanks for her support, I felt better once I had spoken to her concerning what needed to be discussed. It is so nice to know that the time was given to me, along with the care that was there even though it was a phone call.

Listened to what I had to say, sent me for MRI scan, found problem, as a young consultant she showed great skill, was sensitive to my condition and has offered medication to deal with associated pain. Would recommend Doctor Cox to anyone.

I was referred to Dr Amanda Cox in November 2019. I was diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis. I was given the best of treatment including a plasma exchange. Dr Cox and her team were always caring making me feel at ease. If I have any problems I can alway ring the hospital and speak to a member of the team, I couldn’t wish for better treatment.

Critical enough to listen through my sometimes contradictory self-descriptions, and attentive to my problems. The letters afterwards are a good and complete overview of the salient points discussed.

I was referred to Dr Cox by the neurosurgery group regarding spinal issues. When I met with her first she carried out some tests and listened carefully to my issues. She was very good at explaining the problems and what was possibly wrong and recommended further tests. After having surgery that did not work I was referred back to her and again she listen carefully to symptoms offered some suggestions for the causes and put my mind at rest. She also recommended further review and some short-term drug treatment. I trusted her implicitly, she is extremely good doctor, knowledgeable and has the patient’s best interests at heart. After struggling to find someone who could help me for four years I wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend her.
